Jamila Venturini is the Executive Director of Derechos Digitales, where she coordinates the organization’s efforts on artificial intelligence and inclusion in Latin America. She is one of the authors of the text “Automated decisions in public functions in Latin America” (2021), which analyzes cases of implementation in Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay, and has participated in several events and courses on artificial intelligence and human rights. Jamila also contributed to the formulation of recommendations for the UN on the use of artificial intelligence in the public sector, which are widely incorporated in the Report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on Aspects of AI in Privacy in the Digital Age, among other inputs to global organizations and regional. Journalist from the University of São Paulo (Brazil) and Master in Social Sciences with a focus on Education from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (Flacso, Argentina), Jamila is also a member of the Latin American Network of Studies on Surveillance, Technology and Society ( Lavits).
